THE BASICS 

The Panerai Mare Nostrum PAM 716 is a limited edition watch inspired by the original Mare Nostrum chronograph, which was initially created for the Italian Royal Navy in the 1940s but never went into full production. The first official release of the Mare Nostrum came in 1993 with a massive 52mm case. The modern PAM 716, introduced as a tribute to these early models, features a more wearable 42mm stainless steel case and a design that closely follows its predecessors.
